Basic Maintenance & Setup:
- Restringing: Supply your own or we have D'Addario XL or Ernie Ball Slinky's available.
- Finish Cleaning: Removing dust and grime from the guitar.
- Electronics Cleaning: Cleaning electronics to prevent crackling, buzzing, or intermittent sound loss.
- Fretboard Cleaning & Conditioning: Removing grime, and dead skin and applying oil to hydrate and protect unfinished woods such as rosewood and ebony.
- Truss Rod Adjustment: Adjusting the truss rod to correct neck relief (straightness).
- Nut and Saddle Adjustment: Ensuring proper string height and intonation at the nut and bridge.
- Action Adjustment: Setting the string height (action) to optimize playability.
- Intonation Adjustment: Adjusting the bridge saddles to ensure accurate pitch across the fretboard.
- Pickup Height Adjustment: Optimizing the distance between pickups and strings for desired tone and output.
Repairs & Modifications:
- Electronics Work: Replacing or repairing faulty electronics, such as pots, switches, and pickups.
- Pickup Installation: Installing new pickups (single-coil, humbucker, etc.) in electric or acoustic guitars.
- Hardware Replacement: Replacing tuning machines, bridges, tailpieces, and other hardware.
- Nut and Saddle Replacement: Crafting and installing new nuts and saddles from materials like bone.
- Crack Repair: Repairing cracks in the body, neck, or headstock.
- Fretwork: Leveling, Crowning, and Polishing: Corrects uneven fret heights, eliminates buzzing, and improves intonation. Involves filing down high spots, reshaping the fret crowns (the rounded top of the fret) for proper string contact, and polishing the frets to a smooth finish.
- Fret Edge Dressing: Addressing sharp or protruding fret ends, which can be uncomfortable or even damaging to your hand. This service involves filing and smoothing the fret ends.
- Bridge Reglue: Reattaching a loose or detached bridge.
- Finish Touch-ups: Repairing minor finish damage or applying new finishes.
- Customizations: Modifying guitars to the player's specific preferences, such as custom wiring or hardware installations.
